I’m Brooke – thanks for visiting my blog. There are millions of other blogs to read, and I’m honored you stopped by mine.

Whoever you are and whatever your reason for browsing, I hope the words you read inspired you, made you laugh, or made you think.

My day job is in the digital marketing world, but I studied creative writing in college. It’s always been my love, and I have a feeling it always will.

Why am I blogging? I find joy in putting words together. Writing helps me make sense of life, people, and myself. I like to tell stories. I want to make you laugh.

This blog began my sophomore year of college in English 213 “Columns and Blogs.” Originally the blog was dedicated to words and their meanings – connotations, misunderstandings. I began this blog exploring how life defines, and redefines, our words.

Today, I’m writing about books, movies, my marriage, my faith. Someday I’d love to write a book. We’ll see.

Join me, and please please please subscribe!

Love, Brooke

  1. Brooke, I have really enjoyed reading your blog and learning more about you! You certainly have a way with words. And I agree, practicing is tedious but necessary to succeed. 🙂

  2. Hey Brooke!

I’ve loved your entries thus far! But I was crushed by the comment that Calculus is the worst thing in the world. 🙂 You state many truths in a thoughtful, personal fashion. I look forward to reading more!

    • Thanks for reading, everyone! Please keep checking back!
Mrs. Holmlund, I wouldn’t personally define Calculus as the worst thing in the world… that was a hypothetical definition 🙂 I actually liked Calc okay. I mean, I’m not planning on taking Calc 2, 3, or 4, but my experience with it was fairly positive 🙂

  3. Brooke,

Hey! Thanks for the putting up a link to my blog. It’s changed a bit recently. Less focused on literature and more focused on day to day happenings, inspiration and my writing. I’ll be sure to send some viewers your way.
